Marine Laboratory
Our teams process and analyse biological and physiochemical samples, images and other data in our own specialist marine laboratories.
Ocean Ecology has lab facilities in Gloucester, Plymouth and Oban. Here, we provide full analysis of all samples for projects around the world, operating to the highest established standards including the NE Atlantic Marine Biological Analytical Quality Control (NMBAQC) scheme
Samples for analysis include macrobenthic, fish, plankton and meiofaunal, along with full sediment analysis, image analysis and seabed mapping.
We also provide environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis in a dedicated laboratory at our facilities in Oban.
In addition, we have leading photogrammetry facilities and expertise at Tritonia Scientific, which is part of Ocean Ecology Ltd. The laboratory is based near Oban.
